What we're building

More connection.
Less coordination chaos.

Travel is better when the right people find each other. Backpacker Meet is being built around the parts of group travel that matter most.

01 / DISCOVER

Discover trips

Explore trip ideas by destination and interests, with a clearer path to finding potential travel companions.

02 / COORDINATE

Plan as a group

Bring shared plans, trip details, and conversations into one place instead of scattering everything across different chats.

03 / SHARE

Keep costs clear

Track shared expenses and make the practical side of traveling together feel a little less complicated.

The experience we're shaping

From “I'd love to go”
to “let's make it happen.”

A simple flow designed to help people move from a travel idea to a shared plan.

STEP 01

Find an adventure

Browse possible trips and explore people with overlapping destinations and travel interests.

STEP 02

Get organized

Bring companions, plans, and conversations into a shared space built around the trip.

STEP 03

Make room for the good stuff

Keep details and expense tracking clear so planning doesn't get in the way of exploring.

Built, not just imagined

From a prototype
toward a product.

Backpacker Meet started as a full-stack software project, with an existing React frontend and Node.js backend. Its codebase includes routes and interfaces for trip discovery, user profiles, messaging, expense tracking, and more.

It's still an early-stage project, not a launched travel service. The next steps are improving reliability, validating the experience with real travelers, and preparing a responsible public release.

Current stage: Active development

Features in the repository are not a promise that every part of the product is ready for public use.
